SALARY
$67,758.26
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, provides legal administrative support ensuring the efficient operation, organization, and distribution of legal documents, the maintenance of the department's docket of cases, and the preparation of court cases. Assists with the Medical Subrogation process through generation and tracking of correspondence. Assists with Claims processing as time permits.
Qualifications
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Receives and reviews legal documents including: motions, pleadings, interrogatories, court orders, and subpoenas to determine distribution to appropriate attorneys or staff.
o Organizes and files documents and confidential records.
o Retrieves documents for court cases.
o Provides information from files to authorized individuals.
o Maintains security and confidentiality of records and files.
o Assists with the Medical Subrogation process through the generation and tracking of correspondence to identify potential subrogation claims for CTA.
o Assists with the management of documents and the processing of claims.
o Enters court orders, discovery, depositions, and other items into docket system.
o Tracks the status of litigated cases, hearings, pre-trial motions, and trial dates ensuring deadlines are met.
o Prepares various case status reports for staff and management.
