The Learning Systems Engineer (LSE) at MFTX is a technical and analytical role focused on the architecture, administration, and optimization of learning systems, data infrastructure, and performance tracking mechanisms. As the backbone of data-driven training initiatives, the LSE ensures that all learning programs are scalable, measurable, and aligned with organizational KPIs, supporting manufacturing processes across MFTX. By leveraging advanced data tools, automation, and learning analytics, the LSE enables behavior change, skill transfer, and continuous improvement across training ecosystems. The role collaborates closely with Content Creator, and Training Coordinators in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
End-to-End Learning System Design: Architect and maintain scalable, secure learning ecosystems integrating LMS platforms, data sources (LMS, SharePoint, performance metrics), and automation tools to support manufacturing training workflows
Data Engineering & Insight Delivery: Build and manage robust data pipelines and interactive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Python) to visualize training KPIs, learner progress, and certification compliance for real-time decision-making
Certification & Competency Management: Own the MFTX skill matrix and certification lifecycle-ensuring accurate tracking, validation, and alignment with operational standards across manufacturing roles
Instructional Content & Experience Optimization: Develop engaging, multimedia learning content (e-learning, simulations, videos) and implement adaptive learning paths using AI and automation to improve engagement and knowledge retention
Workflow & Scheduling Automation: Streamline training delivery by automating scheduling for OLTs and ILTs, resource allocation, and reporting using Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, and custom scripts to minimize downtime and maximize availability
Impact-Driven Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Deliver data-backed impact analysis (ROI, behavior change, KPI trends), support the ADDIE model, and present insights to stakeholders to drive strategic improvements and justify learning investments
Innovation & Cross-Functional Leadership: Champion process optimization, data governance, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain for credentials), while collaborating with LDEs, MEs, and LEAM to align systems with business goals and solve operational challenges
Degree in Social Sciences, Instructional Design, Education, Industrial Engineering or 4 years of practical experience in training, with coursework in adult learning theories or technical training methodologies
Proficient in data pipeline design and integration of systems such as LMS, SharePoint and performance data, using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, and Azure DevOps
Experienced in managing Learning Management Systems, including course deployment, user access, content organization, and system scalability
Skilled in creating dashboards and generating reports on training impact, KPIs, ROI, certification compliance, and skill matrix tracking
Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills. Technology Skills: Strong computer experience, expertise with content development tools, Storyline or Rise experience a plus
Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers within various parts of the Manufacturing organization
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite development software while having Graphic design and/or Premier Pro skills are a plus
