JOB SUMMARY: Provide regional leadership and job-embedded coaching to support the design, implementation, and sustainability of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and systems across districts and campuses. Integrate system-level and campus-level coaching responsibilities to ensure coherent strategy, fidelity of implementation, and capacity-building aligned to LIFT priorities, HQIM, Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS), and Bluebonnet Learning materials. Work directly with system and campus leaders, and instructional staff to plan, implement, monitor, and refine instructional practices that improve student outcomes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge • Masters degree required from an accredited university. • Three or more years of experience as an instructional leader, district coach, campus instructional coach, or similar role required. • Product Advisor Certification in one or more Bluebonnet Learning curricula, preferred upon hire; required within twelve months of employment. • LIFT Certification, preferred upon hire; required within twelve months of employment. • Experience supporting one or more of the following grants is preferred, School Foundations (SF), Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL), and Texas Literacy Support (TXLS). • Deep understanding of HQIM adoption and implementation at system, campus, and classroom levels, including internalization, observation, and feedback. • Knowledge of Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials, RBIS, and embedded scaffolds for multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and other special populations. • Strong knowledge of data-driven decision-making, diagnostics, progress monitoring, and fidelity of implementation (FOI). • Knowledge of adult learning theory, change management, and continuous improvement practices.

Skills/Abilities • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-year initiatives through strategic planning, monitoring, and adaptive problem-solving. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms. • Demonstrated ability to engage in difficult or sensitive conversations with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach. • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and adjust strategies to meet evolving organizational needs. • Proficiency with standard functions within applications such as Microsoft 365/Google, (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software), e-mail, web browsers, and databases. • Proficiency with computers (PCs and/or MACs) to include file and desktop management and operations, and working in a cloud-based and/or networked environment. • Exceptions to these requirements will be considered based on exemplary skills, training, and record of success.

PRODUCTS/OUTCOMES • Utilize data to make targeted planning adjustments that support improved student outcomes, aligned with Annual Executive Director metrics. • Support the development of sustainable leadership and instructional practices within supported systems. • Produce observable evidence of effective coaching, planning, and implementation support. • Demonstrate consistent use of data, diagnostics, and FOI measures to guide decisions. • Deliver demonstrated impact on leader capacity, teacher practice, and instructional coherence. • Produce coherent system- and campus-level implementation of LIFT priorities aligned to district goals. • Demonstrate increased leader and teacher capacity to implement HQIM and RBIS with fidelity. • Demonstrate improved alignment of instructional systems, professional learning, and coaching practices. • Produce sustainable leadership and instructional practices beyond grant-funded support.

Analysis & Partnership • Analyze district and campus contexts, including leadership structures, demographics, bilingual programming, and instructional initiatives. • Facilitate or support completion of LIFT Diagnostic and Assessment Inventory processes and synthesize findings. • Identify strengths, needs, priorities, and readiness of leaders, coaches, and teachers. • Collaborate with LIFT Lead and partners to identify appropriate roles and engagement structures. • Build and sustain strong relationships with system leaders, campus leaders, coaches, and teachers. • Develop shared understanding of LIFT vision, expectations, and change levers.

Implementation & On-Site Support • Visit school systems weekly to conduct learning walks, one-on-one coaching, and professional development. • Identify aligned and misaligned systems and practices and support leaders in addressing gaps. • Collaborate with system and campus leaders to identify annual focal areas and desired outcomes. • Develop coherent plans for training, implementation support, and coaching across levels. • Support campus leaders through modeling, co-facilitation, observation, and feedback. • Support teachers directly or indirectly through modeling instruction, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) facilitation, and feedback aligned to HQIM and RBIS.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to student outcomes, instructional practice, and FOI. • Facilitate progress-monitoring conversations with system and campus leaders. • Communicate data synthesis, successes, and concerns to stakeholders. • Adjust coaching and support strategies in collaboration with leaders and the LIFT Lead. • Support problem-solving and continuous improvement in response to emerging challenges.

SUPERVISION AND ORGANIZATION OF STAFF • None.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY • Be aware of and follow Center guidelines of allowable costs when recommending use of public funds for expenditures for supplies, equipment, and facilities in area of assignment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer, peripherals, copy machine, phone, etc. • Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. • Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. • Lifting: Light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional heavy lifting/carrying (15-50 pounds). • Environment: This role primarily operates in an in-person, dynamic office setting, characterized by frequent verbal communication, movement, and collaboration among team members (small to large in-person gatherings/meetings); exposure to low or intense illumination; exposure to office equipment noise; may work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent travel; and, occasional remote work (after pre-determined length of employment). • Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Obtain Product Advisor Certification in one or more Bluebonnet Learning curricula within twelve months of employment. • Obtain LIFT Certification within twelve months of employment. • Champion and model the Centers Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Service Standards. • Function within the policies and procedures of ESC-20. • Accept other responsibilities as assigned. • Dress and groom appropriately for the ESC-20 work setting. • Travel independently to fulfill responsibilities of the position. • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, majority in-person/onsite. • Serve at the will of the Executive Director.
