Our client is a well-established construction management and general contracting firm that has been serving the New England market for more than 50 years. With approximately 50 employees and offices throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, they have built an outstanding reputation through strong leadership, repeat business, and a commitment to employee development.

The company delivers a broad range of projects across commercial, retail, academic, corporate, and interiors markets. Approximately 50-60% of their work consists of ground-up construction projects, providing employees with a varied and engaging project pipeline.

Description

The successful candidate will initially lead a $5M ground-up maintenance building project located at a private golf course in Hamilton, MA, while positioning themselves for future opportunities across the firm's New England project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from project start through closeout
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, and daily field operations
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate closely with project management teams, owners, architects, and consultants
• Conduct regular site meetings and maintain project documentation
• Monitor quality control programs and ensure adherence to company standards
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to proactively address construction challenges
• Utilize Bluebeam and Excel to support reporting, scheduling, and project tracking

Profile

A successful Lead Superintendent should have:

• Proven experience serving as the lead Superintendent on ground-up construction projects
• Strong site leadership and subcontractor management abilities
• Experience overseeing projects ranging from approximately $1M-$30M+ preferred
• Diverse project background across multiple sectors is highly desirable
• Ground-up construction experience is strongly preferred
