We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about construction and eager to bring their expertise to a thriving company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial construction projects, from initial planning to completion. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
2. Reading, understanding, and implementing construction blueprints and specifications.
3. Managing contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met, and resolving any issues that may arise.
4. Implementing and enforcing safety management programs to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
5. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
6. Overseeing construction safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
7. Managing construction materials, ensuring adequate supply, and minimizing waste.
8. Coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
9. Conducting quality control checks and inspections to ensure high standards are maintained.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in quality control, blueprint reading, contract management, safety management, understanding of building codes, construction safety, and materials management.
3. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and specifications.
6. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
7. Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Proficient in the use of construction management software.
