    Overview
    A well-established company in the metal building industry is seeking a Lead Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and industrial projects while helping strengthen the project management team.
    This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone capable of owning complex, high-value projects from kickoff through completion. In addition to managing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships, the Lead Project Manager will mentor members of the project team and contribute to improving project management processes and execution.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage the full project lifecycle from contract handoff and kickoff through final completion.
    • Oversee a portfolio of approximately 8–12 concurrent projects totaling $30M+.
    • Maintain control of project scope, schedules, budgets, margins, and overall performance.
    • Serve as a primary client-facing representative throughout project execution.
    • Coordinate across sales, engineering, detailing, manufacturing/supply chain, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
    • Review construction drawings and project documentation to identify potential issues and maintain project alignment.
    • Delegate responsibilities to project support staff and provide guidance to other members of the project team.
    • Help resolve project challenges, client concerns, and escalations.
    • Mentor Project Managers and support the continued development of the PM team.
    • Contribute to improvements in project management processes, workflows, documentation, and best practices.
    Qualifications
    • 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably involving complex commercial or industrial projects.
    • Experience managing projects involving pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel, or related construction systems strongly preferred.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, schedules, budgets, and competing priorities.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
    • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
    • Strong client-facing communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience mentoring team members or providing project leadership.
    Preferred Experience
    • Direct PEMB project management experience.
    • Experience leading or mentoring Project Managers and project support staff.
    • Background in structural steel, metal buildings, or complex commercial/industrial construction.
    • Experience improving project management processes or workflows.
    • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
