Health, dental, and vision benefits begin day one.What You Will Be DoingFacilitating one‑hour live sessions focused on life skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) for K‑8 students, covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, using the established framework.Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly application targets through age‑appropriate motivators including school currency systems and leaderboards.Developing Guides via observation, specific feedback, and direct training so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy.Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to determine intervention needs, then conducting those interventions yourself.Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides.What You Won't Be DoingCreating lesson plans or curriculum design. Students engage with adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people supporting them.Delivering traditional classroom lectures. Your role is 80% engagement specialist, 20% content expert; if you prefer working at a whiteboard, this is not the right fit.Compromising standards due to external pressure from parents or school administrators. When a student achieves 99%, the response remains "not yet" — and you will be supported in maintaining that standard.Spending your time in an office handling administrative tasks. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.Waiting extended periods for performance evaluations. Data appears live in Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.Lead Instructional Coach Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Alpha's 3 Promises for both your student cohort and the Guides under your leadership: every student develops genuine love for school, achieves learning at 2x standard pace, and acquires authentic life skills.Basic RequirementsCurrently located in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available).Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required).Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field.Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training systems.Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance‑based termination decisions.Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance outcomes.Background working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts.Competence using data and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement.Legal authorization to work in the United States.Nice-to-have RequirementsMaster's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business.Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children toward quantifiable goals.Background coaching adults in environments where performance was measured and evaluated.Confidence presenting to large groups of children.About AlphaAlpha School is on a mission to reshape education with a bold approach that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential.
