Job Summary: NCDHHS Child Support Lead Full Stack Java Developer

- Lead modernization of legacy mainframe systems to advanced web-based platforms within the Child Support System Enhancement Effort.
- Architect, develop, and enhance backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs, and integrate with external systems via SOAP/REST web services and messaging platforms.
- Develop responsive and accessible front-end UI components using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap.
- Utilize AI tools for code generation, code migration (e.g., COBOL to Java), automated testing, security analysis, and documentation.
- Support database integration and migration tasks (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL), including writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Implement and maintain DevOps processes using Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven/Gradle, and participate in CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
- Assist with system performance tuning, messaging integration (JMS/RabbitMQ/Kafka), and troubleshooting.
- Highly value experience in mainframe modernization, AI-assisted development, data migration, and modern UI frameworks (React/Angular).
