Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain quality and efficiency
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed in accordance with health regulations
- Maintain inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to plan menus and accommodate special dietary requests
- Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs
Requirements
- 1 year previous experience as a lead cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
