We are seeking an experienced Lead BI Analyst to strengthen our team of professionals who steer data-driven digital transformation across international projects spanning oil & gas, finance, retail and distribution, e-commerce, life sciences & healthcare, and more. In this role, you will own and orchestrate the planning and execution of elicitation and analysis activities across multiple workstreams, collaborating closely with senior business and IT stakeholders, mentoring team members, and setting quality standards for deliverables.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, interactive charts, and reports, establishing visualization standards and best practices across projects
Drive end-to-end data migration and modernization initiatives in collaboration with the development team, including oversight of ETL processes, data extraction, transformation, and loading
Facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions with clients and senior stakeholders to define, prioritize, and align business needs with strategic objectives
Translate complex business requirements into actionable insights and strategic recommendations, fostering seamless collaboration with the delivery team throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee data discovery, data assessment, and data profiling activities, leveraging advanced SQL queries and guiding team members in execution
Define and maintain source-to-target mappings, data models, data flows, and related requirements documentation, ensuring consistency and quality standards across deliverables
Own the definition, organization, and prioritization of backlogs with epics, features, and stories, aligning them with project goals and stakeholder expectations
Drive and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Reviews, Daily Stand-Ups, Planning, Refinements, and Retrospectives, ensuring team alignment and continuous improvement
Lead User Acceptance Testing efforts with customer stakeholders, coordinating feedback cycles and sign-off processes
Establish standards for high-quality post-development and post-production materials and ensure their consistent delivery
Monitor and ensure the quality and reliability of all team deliverables, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior and mid-level analysts
Contribute to pre-sales activities, including effort estimation, proposal preparation, and client presentations
Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks proactively, escalating and resolving issues to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
7+ years of experience in data-related projects, such as data migration, data transformation, data governance, BI, and AI
5+ years of expertise in handling BI, DWH, Data and Analytical project requirements, including gathering, documenting, presenting, estimating, and prioritizing
2+ years of experience in a lead or senior advisory role, mentoring analysts and owning delivery quality
Proven track record in end-to-end data and analytics project delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
Extensive experience working with large datasets and performing advanced data profiling using SQL queries
Understanding of DWH fundamentals, Data Modeling, Data Quality, and data architecture principles
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing source-to-target mappings for data ingestion, curation, and related processes
Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau for data transformation, modeling, and visualization, with the ability to set standards and guide others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and C-level executives
Ability to produce and enforce high-quality documentation, reports, and presentation standards
Strong leadership mindset, self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead client interactions, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions with minimal supervision
English proficiency at B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
Familiarity with data on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP
Ability to create prototypes, mock-ups, and proof-of-concept solutions
Familiarity with Data Governance frameworks and their practical implementation
Experience collaborating with data scientists and defining requirements for AI/ML-focused features
Familiarity with AI tools for BI analysis, information elicitation, documentation, agile workflows, and data analysis
Background in oil and gas, finance, insurance, supply chain, or marketing
Experience acting as a Data Product Owner in analytical projects
Experience in pre-sales, effort estimation, and shaping project proposals
CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Microsoft/Tableau certifications
