New York Green Roofs is a Brooklyn-based company focused on bringing more plants to more roofs through expert design, installation, and maintenance of green roofs and rooftop gardens. The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between the company and its maintenance clients. This full-time role is responsible for client relationship management, quality assurance, sales enhancement, and contract oversight. The Account Manager helps ensure services meet or exceed client expectations while supporting efficient delivery, budget alignment, and strong contract performance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Client Liaison
Act as the main point of contact for assigned maintenance accounts
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular site visits
Address and resolve client concerns in a timely, professional manner
Enhancement Sales
Identify opportunities for landscape enhancements and upsells during site visits
Prepare proposals, present solutions to clients, and coordinate execution with production teams
Track enhancement sales goals and contribute to revenue growth
Quality Control
Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate the quality of work and adherence to contract specifications
Provide feedback to field crews and supervisors
Follow up on service deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly
Work Ticket Management
Review, update, and manage work tickets so services are scheduled and executed properly
Verify that services rendered are documented and billed correctly
Coordinate with production and administrative teams for accurate and timely reporting
Contract Management
Oversee maintenance contracts, including scope, pricing, and renewal timelines
Participate in annual review processes and prepare renewal proposals
Ensure all work is performed in alignment with contract terms and deliverables
Operations and Reporting
Track crew hours, job costs, and productivity for reporting and analysis
Collaborate with the Maintenance Production Supervisor to align labor and resources with contract requirements
Support operational planning through regular reporting to the Maintenance Division Manager
Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in landscape maintenance, account management, or a related field
Strong understanding of horticultural practices, landscape maintenance, and irrigation systems
Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sales experience or aptitude for enhancement and upsell opportunities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with LMN or other work order and CRM systems is a plus
Spanish language skills are a plus due to communication with field teams and clients
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Pay and Benefits
Full-Time, W-2 employment
Pay: $70,000 to $85,000 annual salary, based on experience
Additional bonus opportunities based on performance
Hybrid schedule: mix of field visits across NYC and administrative work from the Brooklyn office (typically 3-4 days in the field)
