Laminated Substrates Production Technician

Picture your day: you arrive, gear up, and take the handoff from the previous crew. You run checks, confirm specs, and set the line to produce high‑performance laminated materials used across consumer packaging, wire & cable, construction, and tobacco. By mid‑shift, you’ve completed a material changeover, moved rolls with a forklift, logged production data, and confirmed quality with visual, manual, and lab checks. You close your day by staging the next order, sweeping down to GMP standards, and syncing with teammates for a smooth transition.

Starting pay: $26.09/hour. Benefits (medical, dental, vision) begin Day 1.

What you’ll do

• Champion safety practices and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Operate production equipment to hit uptime targets and meet exact specs for yardage, cut widths, and material weights.
• Perform material changeovers (adhesive drums, rolls, splices) following SOPs.
• Complete daily job reports, production orders, and raw material usage entries.
• Verify quality via visual/manual checks, lab tests, and defect flagging.
• Use forklifts to stage new materials and remove spent materials efficiently.
• Maintain housekeeping and GMP standards: sweep, organize tools, dispose of packaging waste.
• Communicate clearly during shift handoffs; escalate and troubleshoot issues with the team.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Comfort with basic math and computer data entry.
• Team-first communication and collaboration skills.

Physical demands

• Stand, walk, and move through the facility for 8–12 hours per shift.
• Lift/carry up to 40 lbs.; push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, repetitive motion, and coordinated hand/foot use.
• Regular head/neck rotation and upper-body twisting.
• Visual acuity to read gauges, documents, and inspect products.
• Work in high-heat areas (90–110°F) for extended periods.
• Wear required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toed footwear.

Work environment

• Industrial manufacturing setting with moving mechanical equipment.
• Possible proximity to chemicals or hazardous materials.
• Moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection provided).
