Key Responsibilities
Sample Intake & Inspection: Unpack packages upon arrival, verify sample IDs against manifests, and evaluate sample condition.
Barcoding & Labeling: Generate and accurately attach barcode labels to tubes, vials, and specimen holders.
Sample Preparation & Aliquoting: Dispense measured volumes of liquid samples into smaller containers using automated equipment or manual pipettes.
Sorting & Routing: Sort and prepare samples for distribution to designated testing departments or client categories.
Logistics & Disposal Management: Package and process samples for return delivery to clients or handle standard disposal following set protocols.
System Tracking & Data Entry: Use standard computers and barcode readers to log sample tracking information, status updates, and shipping records.
Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized receiving station stocked with necessary lab supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Shift Commitment: Ability to work the 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule reliably.
Basic English Proficiency: Capability to read and interpret English alphanumeric IDs, tags, and standard lab labeling.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus required to accurately identify minor differences in numbers, letters, and barcodes
