Remote Labor & Employment Attorney: California Employer-Side Practice from Home

Our client, a top-tier employment practice with a growing San Diego presence, is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The team defends employers in single-plaintiff, class, and PAGA actions and counsels them on California workplace compliance.

This role is fully remote for California-based attorneys, with occasional in-person attendance for court appearances, depositions, and client meetings as needed.

What You'll Do

• Defend employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour matters
• Handle class and PAGA actions in state and federal court
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
• Take and defend depositions and appear at hearings and mediations
• Advise employers on policies, handbooks, leave, and compliance issues

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing
• 3+ years of labor and employment litigation experience, preferably on the defense side
• Must reside in California and be available for occasional in-person appearances
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Self-direction and organization to thrive in a remote setting
