$190,000 – $325,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in a sophisticated management-side practice involving employment litigation, workplace counseling, investigations, and complex labor and employment matters for employers across a diverse range of industries.

Ideal Background

• 2–6 years of labor and employment experience

• Experience representing employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies

• Experience handling matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes

• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents

• Experience taking and defending depositions and assisting with mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation

• Experience counseling employers regarding employee relations, workplace policies, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence, and employment compliance

• Experience conducting or assisting with workplace investigations is a plus

• Traditional labor experience involving collective bargaining, grievances, or unfair labor practice matters is a plus

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

• Excellent client service and communication skills

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
