Laboratory Technician

Pay: $26.50/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support quality and production operations within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for collecting and testing process and finished-product samples, documenting results, and working closely with operations to help maintain product quality.

What You'll Do

• Prepare process and finished-product samples for laboratory testing
• Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures
• Conduct routine process-monitoring tests throughout the facility
• Operate standard laboratory equipment, including pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers
• Enter, maintain, and report testing results using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Accurately document test results and promptly communicate required adjustments to operations
• Maintain product samples for verification of testing results when necessary
• Monitor equipment readings against standards to ensure testing accuracy
• Perform basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
• Monitor laboratory supplies and communicate replenishment needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laboratory environment
• Follow established FDA, GMP, EPA, OSHA, safety, and quality requirements
• Work collaboratively with production and other team members to support product quality

What We're Looking For

• Previous laboratory, quality, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous plant or production environment experience is a plus
• Experience with laboratory documentation and accurate record keeping
• Familiarity with pH meters, balances, spectrophotometers, or similar laboratory equipment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to learn and utilize laboratory software and computerized data systems
• Strong math skills for laboratory calculations
• Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and learn new responsibilities
• Strong attendance, punctuality, safety, and housekeeping practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
