SUMMARY
Installs, maintains, orders, and decommissions PMT equipment, tooling, and raw materials (as necessary). Supports PMT course & lab experiences by ensuring that all related equipment & course materials are; functional, safe, well-maintained, and distributed (as necessary). Provides Machining Programming/Lab Tours. Promptly escalates unresolvable issues/concerns to the Director of PMT (as required).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Continuously monitors PMT equipment performance and conducts preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
Repairs and maintains PMT machines & equipment found in the; Machining Lab, Inspection Room, and Tool Crib areas to ensure that scheduled PMT Related Courses/Labs can run as required
Serves as a technical subject matter expert (machining) and supports machining & metrology related programming conducted in PMT related lab area(s). Machining Lab related initiatives will support; PMT, Apprenticeship, Engineering Machining Labs, and Non-Credit Machining Programming (as prioritized/coordinated by the Director of Precision Machining Technology)
Tracks, Orders, and maintains organization/distributions of raw materials, tools, and lab supplies related to PMT
Manages PMT associated vendor relationships
Assists with the monitoring and reporting of associated operational costs, and utilization rates of PMT related lab areas
Receives, stocks, prepares, and ships; raw materials, tooling, and course materials related to PMT programming
Oversees student use of all machining lab equipment, and intervenes as necessary to ensure safe, and proper use of PMT equipment
Ensures the shop floor; equipment, tooling, and workspaces are safe, clean, orderly and operational in compliance with associated Tri-C policy, best practices, or governing safety agencies
Trains, advises, and collaborates with all PMT Instructors/Preceptors (as necessary) to support PMT related programming
Performs other duties as assigned
