Lab Assistant

Job Title: Lab Assistant 
Location: San Diego, CA
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform finished goods formulation and adjust product concentrations as required.
• Review available inventory to support bulk processing activities.
• Perform buffer exchange and other product-processing activities.
• Conduct endotoxin assays and other analytical testing.
• Use Nanodrop or spectrophotometer for analytical measurements.
• Read, understand, and follow SOPs, batch records, GMP documentation, and other applicable procedures.
• Optimize and analyze lot histories to support manufacturing activities.
• Use ERP/MRP systems and other databases to obtain information and execute production orders.
• Perform data entry and complete production documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Follow all applicable procedures, company policies, GMP requirements, and health/safety guidelines.
• Perform additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience, including:
• Analytical assays
• Manufacturing experience in an ISO 13485-compliant environment
• Detection/testing methods in an industry or full-time academic setting

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP databases to execute production orders
• Have an experience working in Aseptic Technique in biosafety cabinet, basic protein purification, GMP/QSR, analytical assays such as endotoxin
• Basic protein formulation experience
• Analytical assays such as endotoxin
• Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
• Highly detail oriented with the ability to verify specifications, sales order information, and address any problems that may arise
