Responsibilities:
Prepare meats, cheese and vegetables by washing, cutting, chopping, and slicing various produce using slicer, knife, or other kitchen tools
Operate the stove, griddle, and oven for various menu items
Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads and snacks by following detailed instructions to ensure quality, consistent product
Assist in the preparation of school and staff lunches, as neede
Prepare cookies and cookie dough, as per recipe and preparation instructions supplied
Assemble snack items, as appropriate. This may include cookies, popcorn, candy, etc.
Assist with unloading of deliveries and their proper storage
Assist in keeping cold storage and dry storage areas neat and organized
Inform management if inventory appears low or if there is a concern or safety issue with any of the product, equipment, or other team members
Interact with customers, vendors, or delivery drivers as needed
Use Tablets, as appropriate
Help teach, train and mentor new members of the team
Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop and handle waste as appropriate every shift
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the primary language used at the work location in order to communicate effectively and ensure safety. The primary languages used in the work location are English & Spanish.
Basic math skills and ability to follow directions for organizing and counting production items.
Strong communication skills with staff and managers.
This position requires standing and moving at a steady pace for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
Requires the ability to lift, bend, stoop, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and hand coordination necessary for efficient production tasks.
Must meet applicable local and/or state food safety certification requirements.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
