Location: San Francisco, CA 94107 - Onsite only on Wednesday (or as needed as per the team's needs), however, full-time onsite return to office will be implemented in September 2026, so the worker will be responsible for 5 day onsite beginning in September.

This position will report to the Senior Revenue Director and will be responsible for providing supportto digital and streaming business units on the accounting of revenue recognition, contract review, and order processing functions.
The Revenue Accountant must be a tech-savvy, self-driven analytical person who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure revenue recognition is booked accurately, timely, and in compliance with SOX controls and GAAP standards
Month-end close activities for revenue recognition, including but not limited to journal entries, revenue calculations, and accruals
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
Work with Sales and Client Services teams to ensure the proper setup of sales orders
Research and respond to inquiries from Sales and Client Services teams on revenue variances related to media orders
Resolve the sales order data ingest exceptions and ensure the order details are accurately ingested into for revenue recognition
Process delivery adjustments for media ad sales orders
Work closely with Sales and Client Service teams for ad hoc training and process improvements
Provide ongoing guidance to the Sales team and business operations on revenue recognition issues, such as identifying and addressing the cause of any adverse revenue recognition impact
Assist with quarterly SOX audits, internal audit, and external audit requests
Participate in ad-hoc revenue analysis and accounting projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of accounting experience
Major ERP experience
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (Lookup function, pivot tables, etc.)
Ability to organize and prioritize duties
Ability to effectively manage time and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
