Junior Estimator

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Nashville, TN area. Our client is seeking a Junior Estimator to support the estimating team and grow into a full estimator role.

Position Responsibilities:

- Perform quantity takeoffs for structural and miscellaneous steel scopes

- Assist senior estimators with bid preparation

- Gather vendor and subcontractor pricing

- Track bid documents, addenda, and due dates

- Maintain estimating records

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Review plans and specifications for scope

- Enter takeoffs into estimating software

- Help prepare bid proposals and clarifications

- Communicate with vendors and general contractors

- Learn fabrication and erection cost drivers

Position Skills:

- 0-2 years of estimating, construction, or engineering experience

- Ability to read construction drawings or willingness to learn

- Familiarity with Bluebeam or estimating software a plus

- Strong math and attention to detail

- Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
