ROLE SUMMARY
The Intersect Group is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support a critical Hire to Retire transformation workstream. This role will play a key part in coordinating project activities, maintaining project plans, tracking deliverables, and supporting successful execution across multiple stakeholders and teams.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers, PMO leadership, HR stakeholders, and business leaders to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies within Smartsheet
Track project deliverables, risks, issues, action items, and project progress
Coordinate activities and communications across Project Managers, PMO teams, and business stakeholders
Facilitate project status meetings and document meeting notes, decisions, and follow up actions
Prepare and distribute project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates
Monitor project timelines and proactively identify potential risks, delays, or resource constraints
Ensure project documentation is accurate, organized, and aligned with PMO standards
Support stakeholder communication, resource tracking, and project administration activities
Escalate project concerns, blockers, and risks to leadership when appropriate
KEY REQUIREMENTS
1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a related business operations role
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Hands on experience managing project plans, schedules, and reporting using Smartsheet
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
Experience supporting HR, workforce, talent management, business transformation, or enterprise change initiatives preferred
Understanding of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid approaches
Experience working within a PMO environment and following project governance standards preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
High attention to detail, strong follow through, and a proactive approach to problem solving
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting Hire to Retire, Human Capital Management, HR Transformation, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or related workforce initiatives
Familiarity with PMO governance, reporting processes, and project controls
CAPM certification or progress toward PMP certification
Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs involving multiple business functions

Ensure project risks, issues, and dependencies are tracked and escalated appropriately

Help keep project milestones on schedule and aligned with organizational objectives
