Summary:

Turtle Beach is seeking a Junior Electrical Development Engineer to become an integral part of our engineering team in San Diego California. The selected candidate will work with our experienced engineering staff in the development of our gaming accessories. Work will include setting up "Gaming" PCs for typical gaming environment. Use and report on features, ease of use, strengths and weaknesses. The work will be highly collaborative with hardware engineers, firmware engineers and product management groups. This opportunity represents a unique opportunity for candidates interested in working in a fast-paced, team environment. PC Gaming experience highly recommended.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up "Gaming" PCs with software suites.
• Demonstrate Software features to Engineering and Product Management as needed.
• Report on product feature sets strengths, weaknesses, ease of use, usefulness, and "Cool" factor.
• Research customers reviews of products.
• Interpret Integrated Circuits datasheets to determine product limitations.
• Compare Integrated Circuits features and performance.
• Define circuit requirements.
• Help to define product technical specifications.
• Create schematics and block diagrams.
• Review PCB layouts.
• Run audio and electrical performance tests with test equipment.
• Set up and maintain organized access to data and reports.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, or electrical engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering or use experience preferred.
• Must understand audio concepts.
• Must be able to read and create electrical schematics.
• Must be able to read and create system and signal flow block diagrams.
• Must have understanding of functional IC's or blocks (MCU / RF Radio / DSP / Battery Charging).
• Must have experience in using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, meters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
• Self-directed, creative, able to learn quickly and enjoys working in fast paced consumer products environment.
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
• Preferred experience in PC gaming, online platforms and content creation methods.

Disclaimer: The hourly rate for this role is $30 to $40 an hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
