Java Developer - Raleigh, NC

Job Summary:
Seeking for a Java Developer to support the development, configuration, and maintenance of CURAM modules, custom Java components, and reports. This role involves enhancing communication-related components in the CURAM Social Program Management (SPM) framework, including correspondence templates, interactive forms, and document generation logic. Collaborate with business analysts, senior engineers, and QA teams to ensure all outputs meet policy, legislative, and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform UML modeling and XML configuration as part of solution design.
- Design and enhance XML/XSL-based content for notices, forms, and data transformations.
- Develop SQL scripts and queries for application functionality and reporting.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in peer code reviews for high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data structures and business requirements.
- Apply best practices for code quality, system performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to XML document generation and data processing.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, XML, XSD, XSLT, XSL-FO, and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle, Oracle Utilities, Altova tools, Apache FOP, and SQL scripting.
- Hands-on experience using Eclipse, relational databases, and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Cu ram experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development - 2 Years
- Experience coding using Java/J2EE - 2 Years
- Experience developing and testing using junits and jomockits - 2 Years
- Experience with executing SQL to validate or test - 2 Years
- Experience in XML, XSD, XSLT, XSL-FO - 2 Years
- Experience with Oracle, Oracle Utilities, Apache FOP, SQL scripting, and relational database modeling - 2 Years
- Understanding of Medicaid Program Policy guidelines is desired - 2 Years
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience navigating on a UNIX platform is desired - 1 Year
