IT Software Developer III Microsoft Power Platform & Access
Location: Los Angeles, CA Downtown/Union Station
Duration: Up to 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Hybrid Onsite Monday & Tuesday
Hours: 8:00 AM 5:30 PM, Monday Friday with alternating Fridays off
Pay Rate: $53 $57/hour

Position Overview
A large public agency serving Southern California is seeking an experienced IT Software Developer III to develop, modernize, and support enterprise business applications.
This role will focus heavily on Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Access, including converting legacy Access applications into modern Power Platform solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Access/VBA, SQL, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise business applications.
  • Develop and support Microsoft Access/VBA applications and migrate legacy Access solutions to Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Build applications and workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI Service and Power BI Report Builder.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other relational database components.
  • Support Oracle/SQL databases, web applications, integrations, and production systems.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant software/application development experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Microsoft Access/VBA, SQL, and relational database programming.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Access.
  • Experience with web/application technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, XML, Oracle, AWS, Umbraco, Webflow, and/or Nintex.
  • Experience with .NET and C# or VB.NET is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to AI-driven development, Microsoft Foundry/Copilot, and GitHub Copilot is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable working onsite Monday and Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles.
  • Valid California Class C Driver License.
  • No CalPERS membership.
  • H-1B candidates cannot be considered.
