Description

Scope of the Project

The candidate will manage several projects through solicitation, selection, contract negotiation, acquisition, implementation, migration, archival, and sunset of legacy applications.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all project management activities for agency-wide initiatives as an experienced agency project manager.
  • Demonstrate project management expertise in both traditional and agile methodologies and influence project team compliance with industry best practices.
  • Manage the overall planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects in parallel. Control scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks are completed as planned.
  • Bring strong project management expertise, collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Plan and conduct project status and review meetings. Prepare project status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders and sponsors. Work with a diverse group of professionals at all levels of the agency.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to support project initiatives. Manage development of project documentation for new services assigned. Ensure all required project documentation is developed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement around delivery, methodology, and other relevant areas. Identify potential problems proactively and facilitate problem resolutions by implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • 5 Years of Experience in IT project management
  • 3 Years of Experience in Hybrid (Agile and Waterfall) Project Management
  • 3 Years of Experience Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development
  • 3 Years of Experience in Risk Management
  • 3 Years of Experience in Resource Management
  • 3 Years of Experience in Change Management
  • 3 Years of Experience in Budget Planning

Required Education

Bachelor's degree and project management experience managing large projects of moderate complexity and risk.

Required Certifications

PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification required or in the process of obtaining certification.
