We are seeking a IT Project Manager Contractor to support strategic technology initiatives across development, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, system integrations, and data migrations. The ideal candidate will support project delivery, risks, dependencies, resources, schedules, governance, and stakeholder communications while ensuring successful outcomes across complex, cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
  • Define and document project scope, requirements, objectives, dependencies, roles, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and critical paths.
  • Coordinate resources and resolve capacity and prioritization conflicts.
  • Track project progress, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Maintain RAID logs and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical risks, issues, and decisions through established governance channels.
  • Partner with business, technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Coordinate stakeholder reviews, recommendations, approvals, and sign-offs.
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive communications.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, methodologies, tools, and delivery practices.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project or program management experience supporting IT or technology initiatives.
  • Experience with structured project management methodologies, including PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, governance activities, and project controls.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with technology initiatives such as application development, cloud migration, infrastructure upgrades, system integration, or data migration.
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management platforms.
  • Experience supporting learning technology, learning solutions, or talent initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and consultation practices.
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across teams.
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills with strong cross-workstream perspective.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $65 - $70 hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
