Position Summary The IT ERP Business Analyst serves as a critical link between business operations and technology, supporting the successful implementation, optimization, and adoption of enterprise systems like Infor Cloud Suite ERP. This role is primarily responsible for analyzing business processes, documenting current and future-state workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business requirements into functional solutions. The IT ERP Business Analyst will play a key role in the organization's ERP implementation by partnering with stakeholders across departments to understand business processes, facilitate process standardization, and help define repeatable workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and data quality. This position requires a combination of business process analysis, project support, documentation expertise, and ERP implementation experience. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with both business users and technical teams while driving process improvements that support organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities1. Business Process Analysis - Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand current business processes and operational challenges.
- Conduct process discovery sessions, interviews, workshops, and observations.
- Analyze existing workflows and identify inefficiencies, gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate discussions to define future-state business processes and best practices.
- Assist departments in standardizing and optimizing workflows.
2. ERP Implementation Support - Support Infor Cloud Suite ERP implementation projects through requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, training, and user adoption activities.
- Work closely with ERP vendors, implementation partners, and internal teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system functionality.
- Assist with Infor Cloud Suite ERP configuration discussions by providing detailed business process documentation.
- Identify process changes required to maximize ERP effectiveness.
- Participate in data migration, validation, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Support ERP go-live planning and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
3. Requirements Gathering & Documentation - Gather and document business, functional, and process requirements.
- Create and maintain:
- Process flow diagrams
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work instructions
- Business requirements documents
- Functional specifications
- Process maps and workflow documentation
- Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and maintained throughout project lifecycles.
- Establish documentation standards and templates where appropriate.
4. Process Improvement & Standardization - Identify opportunities to improve consistency and efficiency across business functions.
- Recommend process improvements that align with ERP capabilities and organizational goals.
- Assist in developing repeatable, scalable workflows that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
- Support management efforts by helping users adapt to new business processes.
5. Project Support - Assist project managers and business leaders in planning and executing ERP-related initiatives.
- Track requirements, action items, risks, and process decisions.
- Coordinate meetings and workshops with stakeholders.
- Provide project status updates and documentation as required.
- Help ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
6. Training & User Enablement - Develop user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Conduct end-user training sessions and workshops.
- Support departments during system adoption and process transitions.
- Act as a resource for users seeking clarification on new processes and workflows.
7. Support onboarding of new site and locations into our business systems and ERP - Develop repeatable processes and SOPs for future onboarding.
- Coordinate with facility managers data collection, process mapping and collaboration with the implementation partner.
QualificationsEducation & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role.
- Prior participation in at least one major ERP implementation required.
- Experience documenting business processes and developing process maps required.
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills - Experience supporting ERP implementations and business process transformation initiatives.
- Strong process mapping and workflow documentation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Infor, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, BaaN, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Understanding of business functions such as:
- Manufacturing
- Supply Chain
- Purchasing
- Inventory Management
- Engineering Change Processes
- Finance and Accounting
- Experience in creating business and functional requirements documentation.

Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position is primarily on-site and requires regular interaction with employees across multiple departments, including office, engineering, and manufacturing environments. The role may require: - Frequent movement throughout office and manufacturing facilities to observe and document business processes.
- Participation in workshops, meetings, and process review sessions with operational teams.
- Occasional travel between company locations and vendor sites.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking depending on project activities.
- Use of standard office equipment including computers, monitors, printers, and presentation equipment.
