Senior Business Analyst

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Hybrid — onsite 2–3 days per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a strong Senior Business Analyst to support a large, complex technology initiative. This person will work closely with business stakeholders, project leadership, and multiple development teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

The ideal candidate is a true Business Analyst with excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills. A product-oriented mindset is highly valued, although this role will not serve as the Product Manager or own roadmap prioritization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to uncover, clarify, and document detailed business requirements.

• Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to identify underlying needs, dependencies, risks, and potential gaps.

• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical documentation for development teams.

• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, requirements documents, and related BA deliverables.

• Coordinate requirements and dependencies across multiple development teams and business groups.

• Help stakeholders understand the technical impact of proposed changes.

• Bring technical considerations, tradeoffs, and dependencies into roadmap and prioritization discussions.

• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.

• Work effectively within a blended Agile and Waterfall delivery environment.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and serve as a bridge between business and technical teams.

• Contribute ideas and recommendations while supporting an established product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience working as a Business Analyst on complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives.

• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements.

• Experience coordinating with multiple development teams and stakeholder groups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process documentation, and functional requirements.

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and traditional Waterfall delivery.

• Ability to understand technical impacts and communicate them clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.

• Ability to operate effectively in a changing environment with multiple priorities and dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous product management, product owner, or product-focused experience.

• Experience contributing to roadmap, backlog, or prioritization discussions.

• Experience supporting large-scale platforms or cross-functional transformation initiatives.

• Proven ability to quickly learn a complex business environment and become a trusted partner to both business and technical teams.
