Investment Risk Manager – Taxable / Fixed Income | Hybrid | $180k-$190k | Boston, MA
Join one of the world's leading global asset managers as an Investment Risk Manager supporting tax-exempt and taxable fixed income portfolios. You'll partner directly with portfolio managers and investment teams to provide quantitative risk analysis that influences portfolio construction and investment decisions.
What You'll Do:
• Partner directly with portfolio managers and investment teams to provide independent risk analysis and quantitative insights
• Monitor portfolio risk exposures and deliver ongoing risk reporting across taxable and tax-exempt fixed income portfolios
• Develop and analyze quantitative risk models to support investment decision-making
• Conduct research on sources of portfolio risk and return and integrate findings into investment strategies
• Collaborate with client service teams and institutional clients on quantitative investment topics
• Utilize technology and advanced analytics to enhance portfolio risk oversight
What We're Looking For:
• 5-7+ years of investment risk management or quantitative analysis experience within asset management or financial services
• Buy-side asset management experience strongly preferred
• Experience supporting portfolio managers and investment teams in an investment management environment
• Strong understanding of fixed income markets and portfolio risk
• Experience with Aladdin, Bloomberg, Yield Book, or similar investment risk platforms
• Advanced Excel plus SQL, Python, R, VBA, or similar analytical tools
• Experience leveraging AI tools for investment research or analysis is a plus
• Quantitative undergraduate degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar)
• MBA, Master's, or PhD in Finance, Economics, or another quantitative discipline preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex quantitative concepts to diverse audiences
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
Location:
Hybrid – Boston, MA
(Currently 3 days per week in the office, with the expectation that the schedule could increase to 4 days in the future.)

• $180,000–$190,000 base salary + bonus
