Job Summary:

St. David’s HealthCare is seeking a full-time Core Faculty position to assist with leading and developing a new Internal Medicine residency program in Austin, TX.
 
Qualified Candidates:  
  • Must possess current certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) or current board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
  • Experience must include specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, preferably in an undergraduate and/or graduate medical education environment
  • Experience must include ongoing clinical activity
  • Be willing to combine administrative and didactic (teaching) responsibilities
  • Have strong administrative and team building skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Candidates with recent scholarly activity – such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations – are highly encouraged to apply
