What You’ll Do
- Provide outpatient hematology and medical oncology care at a community hospital and specialty outpatient center
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 12–15 patients daily with complex needs
- Conduct consultations, treatment planning, and follow-ups for oncology patients
- Participate in light call coverage, responding to calls within 1 hour via beeper only
- Collaborate with a team of three established permanent hematology/oncology providers, plus RNs, PA/NP, and clinical staff
- Use EMR system (ARIA) for all documentation and reporting
- Support patient-centered, mission-driven care in a well-staffed, supportive environment
What You Need
Required:- Valid VA medical license
- Board certification or eligibility in hematology and oncology
- Fellowship training in hematology/oncology
- Experience working in outpatient clinical settings with complex patient populations
- Ability to handle high-acuity cases with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred:- Long-term commitment and driving distance candidates
- Experience with complex cases and multidisciplinary care
- Willingness to integrate into an established team and contribute to ongoing patient care efforts
