Intermediate Data Engineer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer for a Remote position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $67.00 - $69.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This is a hands-on opportunity to work on high-priority data engineering initiatives using modern GCP technologies. The resource will build and support data pipelines that bring together complex data from multiple sources, including pharmacy claims data, and directly support application data needs at a large healthcare organization. This role will add hands-on engineering bandwidth to a focused scrum team building data pipelines centered on GCP, requiring strong SQL and data pipeline engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and support data pipelines using GCP Dataflow and Composer
• Work extensively with SQL and BigQuery
• Integrate data from another data warehouse and multiple domains, including pharmacy claims data, to produce application-ready datasets
• Work as part of a focused scrum team driven by the Data Office technical lead
• Consult with System Analysts, Technical Leads, and Project Managers to establish specifications and estimations on complex initiatives
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, system design, and program functions
• Collaborate with team members by providing technical advice and training

Primary Requirements:

• 3+ years of GCP/Cloud experience as a Developer
• Hands-on experience with GCP data pipeline engineering including Composer, Google Big Query, and Google Data Flow
• 2+ years of experience with Python and strong SQL expertise
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and independently
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
• Excellent documentation skills

Desired Skills:

• Container technology (Docker)
• Kubernetes
• Understanding of overall data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Java
• Previous experience in the PBM or health care industry
