Interim CFO - Coastal Oregon
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a hospital in rural Oregon undergoing a period of operational and financial transformation. This role is ideal for a healthcare finance leader with a proven track record in acute care settings who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving financial sustainability, transparency, and alignment with clinical priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting to support hospital transformation and long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic guidance to the executive team on cost containment, revenue optimization, and capital allocation.
- Partner closely with operations, clinical leadership, and department heads to align financial goals with patient care objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, reimbursement, and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Improve financial processes and internal controls while guiding teams through change management initiatives.
- Support payer contract analysis, service line profitability reviews, and strategic business development efforts.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within an acute care hospital or health system.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, value-based care models, and hospital finance operations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to drive aligned decision-making.
- Skilled in building financial transparency and accountability across complex organizations.
- Availability to begin within 2-4 weeks from date of offer, and to be on-site for the duration of the engagement.
