About the Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced analyst who enjoys getting into the details when systems, data, and financial information don't line up. This role sits between Technology, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Operations and is responsible for making sure information moves accurately between several business systems. You'll monitor integrations, investigate discrepancies, reconcile commission and accounting data, support production issues, and help maintain the controls needed to keep financial information accurate.

You'll also work with AI-enabled automation used to process incoming data, reviewing exceptions and making sure automated outputs can be trusted.

What You'll Be Doing

Systems Integration & Production Support

  • Monitor the flow of data between commission, CRM, benefits, payroll, accounting, reporting, and other business applications.
  • Investigate failed integrations, incorrect data, file-transfer problems, and other processing exceptions.
  • Identify root causes and resolve production issues.
Data Reconciliation & Financial Controls
  • Perform and improve recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation processes.
  • Compare commission, revenue, compensation, payroll, and accounting information between multiple systems.
  • Research variances and trace discrepancies back to the underlying system, process, or data issue.
  • Create reconciliation procedures, exception reports, documentation, and supporting information for audits.
  • Assist with commission-related activities that support month-end close and financial reporting.

AI & Automation Support

  • Oversee automated processes used to interpret and process carrier or commission-related statements.
  • Review AI-generated data for accuracy and investigate information that falls into exception queues.
  • Develop checks and quality-control procedures that improve the reliability of automated outputs.
  • Partner with AI and automation teams on improvements to performance, scalability, and production readiness.
  • Make sure information remains consistent from the original source through commission calculations and downstream accounting systems.

Governance & Controls

  • Assist with SOX controls, audit preparation, compliance testing, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain procedures, issue logs, operational documentation, and control processes.
  • Look for ways to improve data traceability, governance, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen processes that reduce financial, data, and operational risk.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Operations, Technology, and external vendors.
  • Help translate business needs into practical technical and operational solutions.
  • Take an active role in resolving production incidents and supporting system enhancements.
  • Become a go-to resource for commission systems, integrations, reconciliations, and data-quality controls.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience involving financial systems, accounting operations, commission administration, systems integrations, or data reconciliation.
  • Strong experience reconciling large datasets across multiple applications or data sources.
  • Ability to investigate data discrepancies and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting integrations and troubleshooting production data issues.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled automation or intelligent workflow processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation models, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with reporting platforms, data warehouses, or other operational data environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with both technical and business teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Varicent, SAP Callidus, or another incentive compensation platform.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Workday, Epic, payroll applications, ERP platforms, or accounting systems.
  • Experience working with APIs, ETL processes, middleware, integration monitoring, or data-validation tools.
  • Familiarity with SOX, auditing, and internal financial controls.
  • Experience supporting AI-driven automation and exception-management workflows.
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data and analytics technologies.
