Scope & Ownership Owns engine accessories and external mechanical systems: oil cooling / pumping / filtration; air cooling / pumping / filtration; the mechanical instrumentation scope; and container mechanicals - the gearbox interface and genset interface. Crossover: systemsfluidspackaging. Minimum Education Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Experience 4-8 years in mechanical-systems / accessories or packaging design, or a relevant PhD plus ~2 years Lube/scavenge and cooling systems, pumps, filtration; instrumentation integration Skill Requirements Fluid systems and heat exchangers; pumps and filtration Sensors and instrumentation integration; packaging and mechanical integration Python/Matlab; 2D/3D CAD Responsibilities Take sole ownership of hardware development from clean-sheet through high rate production across multiple components of the Parallax PE-10 Collaborate with other REs to define interface requirements and manage coupled interactions Collaborate with Analysts to derive loads, environments, and response characteristics of your hardware across its operating envelope Develop and execute test and qualification plans for your hardware Analyze test and qualification data to derive margins and iterate on designs Collaborate with Production to develop and execute prototype, low rate, and full rate production of your hardware while balancing performance, cost, and complexity Flex across multiple disciplines and scopes as necessary If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
