Responsibilities

Supervise the daily work of the instrumentation technician team, including assignments, priorities, and work quality
Lead troubleshooting and repair of process instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, and related field devices
Develop, implement, and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for instrumentation and control equipment
Manage and reduce the open work order backlog in coordination with Operations and Maintenance leadership
Support DCS, PLC, and industrial control system troubleshooting, working with the controls engineer on programming needs
Train, coach, and develop technicians, including building technical skill and safe work habits
Maintain a strong field presence to support execution, safety oversight, and real time problem solving
Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
Ensure all work follows site safety requirements including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and work at heights
Support spare parts identification, documentation, and CMMS record accuracy
Coordinate contractor work and hold contractors to site safety and quality expectations
Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

Experience using a CMMS for work orders, PM scheduling, and history, SAP preferred
Electrical journeyman license strongly preferred but not required
Working knowledge of industrial safety practices including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, electrical safety, and working at heights
