At Indyme, you’ll work with a collaborative team dedicated to delivering reliable retail technology at scale. This role is critical to ensuring every customer deployment is coordinated, visible, and completed to a consistently high standard.
The Installation Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the installation of Indyme systems at brick-and-mortar retail store locations nation-wide. This role oversees multiple third-party installation contractors and ensures each deployment is completed safely, on schedule, within the agreed scope and pricing, and to Indyme’s quality standards. The Installation Specialist also partners closely with Manufacturing to ensure systems and materials are delivered ahead of scheduled installations, and with project coordinators to provide clear, timely progress reporting so they can report out to Indyme’s external customers.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage end-to-end installation activities for Indyme systems across retail store locations
- Source, evaluate, hire, onboard, and manage multiple third-party installation contractors
- Negotiate scopes of work, pricing, service expectations, and installation schedules with contractors
- Develop and maintain detailed deployment schedules covering stores, contractors, milestones, dependencies, and completion status
- Coordinate with Manufacturing and other internal teams to ensure equipment and materials are available and delivered ahead of each installation
- Validate completed installations against approved plans, documentation, and quality standards
- Identify and resolve scheduling, site-readiness, material, installation, and contractor-performance issues
- Track deployment risks, changes, costs, and corrective actions while maintaining accurate project records
- Provide accurate, timely progress reports and deployment forecasts to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Promote consistent installation practices and continuous improvement across Indyme’s contractor network
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience managing field installations, deployments, construction, logistics, or multi-site projects
- Experience selecting, negotiating with, and managing third-party contractors or service providers
- Strong scheduling and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deployments
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to report status, risks, and next steps to customers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to analyze problems, make sound decisions, and drive issues to resolution in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, project schedules, and business reporting tools
- Ability to travel to retail installation sites as business needs require
