    Inside Sales Technical Engineer

    Position Overview

    The Technical Support Center (TSC) Engineer serves as the technical backbone of the Neugart USA sales process. This entry- to early-career role is ideal for a technically minded new graduate or early professional who is passionate about motion control, industrial automation, and customer problem-solving. The TSC Engineer works alongside Regional Sales Managers and customers to select the right gearbox solutions, resolve technical inquiries, and deliver product training — making a direct impact on customer satisfaction and sales outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    •    Support the quotation process through technical product selection, gearbox sizing, and application-based recommendations

    •    Provide technical product support and consultation to customers, distributors, Regional Sales Managers, and internal teams

    •    Analyze customer application requirements and utilize Neugart sizing and selection tools to recommend appropriate gearbox solutions

    •    Review customer specifications and assist with product selection and application guidance

    •    Support customers and Regional Sales Managers in resolving gearbox-related technical issues and product inquiries

    •    Conduct product training and technical presentations for customers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders

    •    Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support customer projects, technical inquiries, and application requirements

    •    Attend trade shows, customer events, and occasional on-site customer visits

     

    Qualifications — Required

    •    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related technical field

    •    Strong technical aptitude with genuine interest in industrial automation, machinery, and motion control applications

    •    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage professionally with customers and internal teams

    •    Self-starter with a proactive mindset — comfortable working independently and collaboratively

    •    Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills

    •    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    •    Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, training events, and customer visits

    Qualifications — Preferred

    •    Previous experience in technical sales, engineering support, automation, or industrial products (internships and co-op programs count)

    •    Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems

    •    Exposure to motion control, robotics, or precision drive technology
