THE WORK:
• You'll assist the Structure Representative with various construction activities and represent the client. • You'll read and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents. • You'll review submittals, including shop drawings, product data, test samples, and construction work plans. • You'll ensure approved materials are received and properly incorporated into the project. • You'll monitor, coordinate, and enforce construction compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. • You'll identify non-compliant work and take appropriate action to bring it back into compliance. • You'll immediately report critical issues and potential delays to your supervisor. • You'll monitor and document all construction equipment, personnel, and activities. • You'll assist the Structure Representative and Resident Engineer in documenting project progress. • You'll perform calculations from plans to verify the location, layout, line, and grade of various elements. • You'll respond to Contractor Requests for Information (RFIs). • You'll ensure all changes and modifications are noted on the final plans. • You'll facilitate safety meetings and other team meetings. • You'll communicate and coordinate effectively with contractors, agencies, clients, and regulatory entities, including activities such as sampling/testing construction materials and construction staking/surveying. • You'll perform constructability reviews of contract design plans.
