Your mission
Be the in-shop authority who turns mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges into reliable solutions for articulating cranes, truck mounted forklifts, bucket trucks, platforms, conveyors, trucks, and trailers. You’ll report to the Regional Service Manager and partner with the shop manager to communicate issues and repair strategies clearly.
Impact you’ll make
- Execute preventive maintenance to customer schedules, complete annual DOT inspections, and handle warranty service.
- Address emergency and unscheduled issues during both working and non-working hours with calm, thorough troubleshooting.
- Produce precise service documentation—estimates, authorizations, parts ordering and records, labor entries, and inventory tracking—on time.
- Champion safety by complying with all state and federal requirements while keeping the shop safe, clean, and organized.
What you’ll need to succeed
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of mechanical experience or training, emphasizing articulating cranes and forklifts
- Depth in mechanics, hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and welding
- Comfort with Windows-based applications
- Initiative, independence, and resourcefulness
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 75 lbs or more for extended periods
- Resilience to inside/outside conditions, noise, vibration, oils, and common shop hazards
- Bring your own hand tools; PALFINGER supplies proprietary tools
