Industrial HVAC Technician

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire industrial 3rd Shift HVAC Technician job in Dover, NJ for our client, a world-class manufacturer of aerospace and industrial components. This role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs on plant HVAC systems, including electrical and refrigerant repairs, diagnosing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and aligning and balancing equipment after installation or service. Training will take place on 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift schedule.

This position offers a pay range of $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, plus a shift premium and a 5% annual bonus, along with excellent benefits that start on day one.


Responsibilities for the 3rd Shift HVAC Technician job in Dover, NJ include:

• Performing routine preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as emergency breakdown repairs, to keep HVAC systems and building operations running smoothly and efficiently.

• Conducting electrical and refrigerant repairs on HVAC systems.

• Diagnosing and resolving issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components on HVAC machinery.

• Aligning and balancing equipment following installation, repair, or service.

• Assembling, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical and electronic components, piping, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

• Cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.

• Dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand or power tools to access, remove, and replace defective parts.

• Inspecting, operating, and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

• Supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts across the facility.

• Training other maintenance personnel on equipment within the area.

• Supporting the company's EHS policies, including proper PPE use, timely incident reporting, and participation in required safety training.

 
 
Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a related role preferred.
• Refrigeration license preferred.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems preferred.

• Self-starter with strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurement instruments.
