Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA (MICU) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Construction Designer to support large-scale semiconductor facility construction projects in Phoenix, Arizona.

This role is responsible for developing coordinated construction drawings, layouts, 3D design models, and technical documentation that support project planning, field installation, and construction execution. The Industrial Construction Designer will work closely with engineering, project management, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure design information is accurate, constructible, organized, and aligned with project requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting industrial, commercial, manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, process, utility, or large-scale construction projects and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly coordinated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and maintain construction drawings, layouts, details, and design documentation for industrial facility projects.
  • Create and update 2D and 3D construction models using Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, markups, field information, and project requirements to develop accurate construction-ready deliverables.
  • Coordinate design information across multiple project disciplines, including architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process, utility, fire protection, and other construction trades as applicable.
  • Support construction coordination by identifying potential drawing conflicts, space constraints, routing issues, and constructability concerns before installation.
  • Assist with clash detection, model reviews, design coordination meetings, and tracking of required revisions.
  • Prepare plan views, sections, elevations, details, material layouts, installation drawings, and other documentation required for field execution.
  • Incorporate field conditions, redlines, approved changes, and design revisions into current project drawings and models.
  • Maintain organized drawing files, design revisions, model versions, and project documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to resolve design and coordination issues.
  • Support as-built documentation and final turnover packages at project completion.
  • Follow company, client, and project standards related to drawing quality, file management, document control, safety, and construction coordination.
  • Perform other design, drafting, coordination, and project-support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, technical certificate, bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in drafting, construction design, engineering technology, architecture, industrial design, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in construction design, drafting, CAD design, Revit design, industrial construction, or a related technical role.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from construction drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and technical markups.
  • Understanding of construction drawing standards, design revisions, dimensions, layouts, and documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and coordination issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, revisions, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with office-based and field-based project teams.
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, industrial, commercial, data center, utility, process piping, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Revizto, or similar design and construction coordination platforms.
  • Experience coordinating drawings or models between multiple construction trades.
  • Familiarity with clash detection, construction sequencing, field coordination, prefabrication planning, or installation drawings.
  • Experience supporting design changes, RFIs, submittals, redlines, as-built updates, or document-control workflows.
  • Knowledge of basic construction means and methods and how design decisions affect field installation.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven construction or project delivery environment.

What Success Looks Like

  • Construction drawings and models are accurate, complete, organized, and issued on time.
  • Design conflicts and constructability concerns are identified early and communicated to the appropriate project teams.
  • Field teams receive clear, coordinated, usable design information that supports efficient installation.
  • Drawing revisions, field changes, and as-built updates are maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration between engineering, construction, subcontractor, and field teams improves through reliable design coordination.

MICU is an equal opportunity employer and values individuals who bring technical accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to quality to every project.
