Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist (Conveyor/MHE)

Do you like hopping on a plane, landing at a busy distribution center, and diving into high-tech conveyors, robotics, and controls? Are CMMS entries and clean schematics second nature? If yes, this role is built for you.

The role

You’ll support advanced material handling environments—keeping automated distribution and packaging systems reliable through proactive maintenance, smart diagnostics, and fast repairs. You’ll also back installations and upgrades, partner with operations, and help standardize best practices across sites.

What you’ll work on

• Preventive/predictive maintenance for conveyors, motors, sensors, relays, and robotic components.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Installations, retrofits, and system enhancements in automation-heavy facilities.
• Accurate work records and parts tracking in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Cross-functional collaboration focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Tool, parts, and inventory stewardship to keep projects moving.

What you bring

• 2+ years with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years repairing material handling equipment.
• Proven preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
• Comfort reading electrical schematics/blueprints; solid electronics fundamentals.
• Familiarity with MHE safety standards and OEM compliance.
• Robotics or electromechanical experience is a strong plus.
• Project management or CMMS experience preferred.
• A calm, methodical troubleshooting mindset; effective solo and team contributor.

Physical & work realities

• Fast-paced environments with extended standing/movement.
• Occasional lifting up to 49 lbs.
• Travel to project sites as needed; adapt to new facilities quickly.

Pay, schedule, and travel

• Schedule: Full-time
• Salary: $55,000 – $65,000
• Location: Based on Projects (national travel)
• Main Office: Kentucky
• ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES ARE COVERED, INCLUDING HOTELS.
