Hyper-V Infrastructure Architect — Greenfield Design & Migration Blueprint
Greenfield Microsoft Virtualization Architecture
Short-term hourly consulting engagement to deliver ground-up architecture and an implementation blueprint for a production Microsoft Hyper-V environment supporting a phased VMware transition, for a financial services client in the Columbus, OH area.
Engagement details
• Work arrangement: remote-first. U.S.-based candidates may work from any location; Eastern Time collaboration required.
• Schedule: approximately 40–60 total hours across two to three weeks — scheduled workshops plus independent design and documentation time.
• Duration: approximately 2–3 weeks covering discovery, architecture, plan and handoff. Urgent start. Possible follow-on advisory work.
• Employment type: contract / short-term hourly consulting engagement.
Requirements
• 10 years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Multiple production Hyper-V environments personally designed from the ground up.
• Experience planning and executing phased VMware-to-Hyper-V transitions.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering, or equivalent senior enterprise architecture experience.
Certifications
• Current or legacy Microsoft infrastructure certification strongly preferred.
• Cisco UCS or Veeam credentials desirable.
