    Summary

    The Hybrid Technical Lead is responsible for the technical planning, coordination, and execution of hybrid event solutions, with a primary focus on recording and livestreaming workflows. This role provides hands-on technical leadership for small-scale events and supports larger, more complex productions as a subject matter expert. The Hybrid Technical Lead works under the direction and mentoring of senior leadership, delivering consistent results through established standards while contributing to continuous improvement through minor process enhancements.

    This position will support our Audio Visual team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work at show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

    • Dallas, TX
    • Chicago, IL
    • Las Vegas, NV
    • Orlando, FL

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Guide and focus technical efforts across assigned hybrid products, with emphasis on recording and livestreaming solutions
    • Manage and operate hybrid technical elements on show site for small events
    • Support larger or higher-complexity events by serving as a technical SME under senior leadership direction
    • Execute pre-production tasks, including management of pre-records and technical preparation
    • Monitor livestream and recording systems in real time, troubleshooting technical challenges during live events
    • Ensure accurate delivery of hybrid services in alignment with event scope, schedules, and standards
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to support pre-production, live execution, and post-event activities
    • Follow direction and guidance from senior leadership while contributing technical input and recommendations
    • Participate in limited client-facing interactions to support technical discussions and issue resolution as needed
    • Deliver consistent results using established SOPs, workflows, and quality standards
    • Identify and suggest minor improvements to SOPs, documentation, or technical practices based on event experience
    • Support post-event reviews by contributing technical observations and lessons learned
    • Order and coordinate labor and gear for assigned hybrid events in alignment with production requirements
    • Maintain production documentation and technical records as required

    Education & Experience

    • College degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required with relevant professional experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting hybrid, livestreaming, recording, or live event technical environments
    • Proficiency with livestreaming and recording tools, equipment, and software
    • Hands-on experience with production software and tools (e.g., Zoom; Adobe Creative Suite, OBS, vMix, Wirecast, Epiphan Pearl, AJA KiPro Recorders)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to remain effective in live, high-pressure environments

    Travel Requirements

    Travel 50% to 75%
