Client Overview: A leading national retailer with a diverse product portfolio is seeking a
Hybrid PLM Assistant to support its Product Development team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with PLM, product development, merchandising, and retail operations in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $25/hr
Position Overview: The Hybrid PLM Assistant will provide day-to-day support to a Product Development team, with a focus on sample tracking, product information, PLM/OMS maintenance, and line lists.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in product development, merchandising, buying, or retail. This is a 5-month temporary opportunity with the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a major retail organization.
Responsibilities of the Hybrid PLM Assistant:- Track and organize product samples throughout the development process.
- Receive, unpack, organize, and distribute sample boxes.
- Assist with sample set-ups for meetings and team reviews.
- Maintain accurate product information within PLM and OMS systems.
- Enter, update, and verify item-level information.
- Review product records for missing or inconsistent information.
- Assist with line list maintenance and product updates.
- Coordinate sample movement between team members and departments.
- Identify missing or delayed samples and communicate issues.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Product Development team.
Required Experience/Skills for the Hybrid PLM Assistant:- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with physical product samples.
- Ability to learn new systems and work independently.
- Strong follow-through and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Hybrid PLM Assistant:- Experience supporting Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, or PLM teams.
- Previous PLM or OMS experience.
- Retail, fashion, consumer products, or merchandising experience.
- Sample tracking or sample management experience.
- Experience maintaining line lists or detailed product data.
- Strong Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and formatting.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, Product Development, Retail, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may also be considered.
