Location: North San Jose / Berryessa, CA 95132
We’re looking for a
high-energy, personable, fitness-minded individual to join our team in a hybrid role combining
front desk/member sales and group fitness coaching.
This is a great opportunity for someone who
loves fitness, enjoys working with people, and wants to build a career in the fitness industry. Previous professional training experience is
not required. We are specifically open to entry-level candidates who have experience with fitness through their own workouts and understand the basics of exercise and strength training.
We will provide training on our group fitness format and coaching expectations. You will be required to obtain an approved personal training or group fitness certification
within 6 months of hire at your own expense.

- Help convert trials and prospects into memberships
- Learn our membership options, challenges, and promotions
- Build relationships with members and help improve member retention
- Assist with basic front desk and gym operations

Who We're Looking For

do not need to already be a certified trainer or have previous professional coaching experience.
You should:
- Have personal experience working out consistently
- Understand basic exercises, gym equipment, and proper workout fundamentals
- Be comfortable demonstrating exercises and learning proper coaching techniques
- Be outgoing, personable, energetic, and confident
- Enjoy talking to people and building relationships
- Be comfortable with sales and asking for the business
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Be dependable, punctual, and coachable
- Be comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Be willing to learn both the business/sales side and coaching side of the gym
- Be willing to obtain an approved fitness certification within 6 months of hire
Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
Certification Requirement
No certification is required at the time of hire.
However, employees hired into this position must obtain an
approved nationally recognized personal training or group fitness certification within 6 months of their start date.
Certification costs are the employee's responsibility.
What We Provide
- Hands-on training to become a group fitness coach
- Sales and membership training
- Experience working directly with members and prospective members
- Opportunity to develop both fitness coaching and sales skills
- Potential for additional responsibility and advancement based on performance
- A high-energy, team-oriented fitness environment
What Success Looks Like
The right person isn't necessarily someone who has worked at a gym before. We're looking for someone who
lives an active lifestyle, connects naturally with people, brings great energy, and is hungry to learn.
You'll be successful in this role if you can walk into the gym, make members feel welcome, confidently talk to a new prospect about joining, and then bring that same energy to the workout floor.
