We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Foreman to join our team and take a hands-on leadership role overseeing HVAC installation on multifamily and new-construction projects throughout the DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia markets. This is an opportunity for someone who knows the field, can lead crews and subcontractors, read plans, coordinate materials and keep projects moving safely and on schedule. You’ll have real ownership in the work while overseeing multiple large-scale projects and working alongside an experienced construction team.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, direct and coordinate HVAC installation crews and subcontractors.
  • Lead field installation activities according to blueprints, specifications and project requirements.
  • Interpret plans, specifications and job orders.
  • Inspect HVAC assemblies and installations for quality, code and specification compliance.
  • Supervise installation of HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with vendors, warehouse and shop.
  • Enforce company policies and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to maintain the construction schedule.
  • Forecast manpower and material requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and conduct crew safety meetings.
  • Coordinate required municipal inspections.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, including controls and insulation contractors.
  • Ensure subcontractors remain on schedule.
  • Estimate labor hours and materials for change orders when requested.
  • Complete timesheets, daily reports, receiving tickets and other required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and keep projects moving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to qualify for company vehicle insurance.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time HVAC installation experience or comparable experience.
  • Experience or strong background in HVAC installation, mechanical construction and new-construction projects.
  • Experience supervising field employees and subcontractors.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications and job orders.
  • Experience coordinating materials, manpower and installation schedules.
  • Ability to inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to coordinate with subcontractors and other trades.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot project issues and adjust work sequences to maintain schedule.
  • Ability to complete daily reports, timesheets and other project documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel between jobsites throughout DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and perform the physical requirements of an active construction environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
