Commercial Service HVAC Technician

A well-established home services company with decades of history serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join their Commercial Services division. The company provides heating, cooling, plumbing, and related mechanical services to both residential and commercial customers across the DC metro region.

A well-established home services company with decades of history serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join their Commercial Services division. The company provides heating, cooling, plumbing, and related mechanical services to both residential and commercial customers across the DC metro region.

They're looking for an experienced technician who can handle standard to moderately complex work across installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, cooling, ventilation, and related systems. The right person brings a strong technical skill set, a positive attitude, and the flexibility to work across a variety of commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Service and install all types of residential and commercial HVAC equipment
- Provide clear, professional communication with customers
- Maintain consistently high service quality
- Contribute ideas to improve service delivery and the customer experience
- Maintain truck stock and inventory within company guidelines
- Follow the truck maintenance schedule and keep a clean, organized truck

Requirements

- 5+ years of HVAC service experience
- CFC Certification
- Journeyman HVAC License OR Gasfitter License
- Basic controls and low-voltage troubleshooting experience
- Must pass a background check and drug screening following an offer of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10 years of HVAC service experience
- Experience with boilers, cooling towers, dry coolers, and hydronics
- Experience with water source heat pumps
- Working knowledge of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems
